Precision Components

Along with high-performance materials, Omniseal Solutions™ provides precision components, which fall under the following brand families.

Omniseal® Polymers

You have the power of polymer when you need a sealing, wear, or friction control solution. Comprised of spring-energized seals, rotary lip seals and other components such as bearings or piston rings, these solutions are engineered for a variety of applications due to their broad versatility and reliability.

Spring-energized seals are used in ultra-low friction and extreme hot or cryogenic temperatures. Available in four designs with a standard or skived lip, they have unlimited shelf-life compared to conventional seals. Developed in the 1950s to provide improved performance over soft elastomers and hard metal gaskets, they made a successful impact in aviation turbine engines and space launch vehicles. The rotary lip or shaft seal solution goes back forty years, becoming a critical part of aviation, life science, and industrial markets. Created to bridge the gap between elastomer lip seals and mechanical seals, this sealing solution is valued for its temperature resistance, self-lubrication properties, high wear resistance, and inertness to chemical attack.

Omniseal® Metals

If you need an axial, face, or special design metal sealing solution, Omniseal Solutions™ is your right partner. These critical parts are specifically engineered for sealing control in challenging and extreme applications such as those seen in space and nuclear due to their elastic recovery or springback. They also come with a coating, plating, or finish to take care of small imperfections in the mating hardware, enhancing seal performance. We manufacture machined metal seals as well as formed metal seals in a variety of sizes and shapes.

Omniseal®

20 Rotary Lip Seals

Omniseal® 20 lip seals are modifications of the Omniseal® 10 seal design. This sealing solution offers longer life and improved sealing of gases and abrasive media due to their higher lip load. They also offer additional runout capability. They can operate at speeds and pressure as noted for the Omniseal® 10 lip seal.

Used in
gearboxes, submersible pumps/motors and mixers

Omniseal®

30 / 40 Rotary Lip Seals

Omniseal® 30 and 40 lip seals incorporate a threaded sealing lip, which pumps the media away from the seal. These designs should only be used in lubricating media. These solutions offer long life and positive sealing at given PV limits.

Used in
lubricating media where lip pumps media away from the seal

Omniseal®

50 Rotary Lip Seals

Omniseal® 50 rotary lip seals offer low torque and long life. Due to their light lip loading, these designs should not be used where a leak-tight seal is required. They are an excellent environmental seal.

Omniseal®

70 / 80 / 90 Rotary Lip Seals

Omniseal® 70, 80 and 90 lip seals offer double lip designs that are used in high pressure and speed applications. This sealing solution has an option of having a primary threaded primary lip with a standard secondary sealing lip for lubricated condition.

Metal Comma Seals

Comma axial seals used for shaft sealing and bore sealing are a further development of the axial C-Seal. The elastic recovery in radial direction is still limited, yet the leakage over the outer diameter in the case of a Comma seal is well controlled by the seating load generated by the compression of the ring part of the design.

Metal C-Seals

Metal face C-Seals help overcome both heat and pressure pulsating sealing challenges. The key to the seal's superior performance is the high springback characteristic due to the C-shaped construction. These highly resilient seals can be used for internal, external, and axial pressures under extreme conditions that preclude the use of gaskets made of organic materials.

where very low leak rates are demanded

Metal Spring-Energized Face Seals

This face seal is designed with a spring-energizer in a C-Seal jacket, which is a self-pressure, activated design to provide an effective metal-to-metal leak proof solution. The proper combination of the base materials and surface coatings make it possible to seal almost any fluid at extreme temperatures and pressures without deterioration of the seal over extended periods of time.

highly demanding applications in leakage rate with high load available

60 Rotary Lip Seals

Omniseal® 60 lip seals incorporate spring loading, which improves sealing where shaft runout or bore/shaft misalignment exist. These designs offer positive sealing during long-term storage.

Metal O-Rings

These metal face seals are long lasting seals and unlike non-metallic seals, they are not subject to failure due to incompatibility with the environment, outgassing, or deterioration from age.

Used in
areas where elastomers & other non-metallic seals will not seal properly or do not offer required reliability for the application (temperature, pressure, environment).

Metal Machined Seals

Machined seals are excellent metal seal solutions for high pressure and high load environments but are different from formed metal seal solutions in that they do not require additional tooling to be manufactured, which saves our customers time and cost. In addition, with our flexible capabilities and expertise to understand your machined metal seal requests, we can provide you the best resistant metal seal solution - from aluminium to complex nickel alloys.
