Global, locally
Many people fear that working for or with a large global company like Omniseal Solutions is like being a small cog in a much larger machine. That efforts will be overlooked or underappreciated. Or worse, that the company won't care as much for its customers. Nothing could be further from the truth. As a company within the Saint-Gobain family of companies, Omniseal Solutions has the backing and support of all of its sister companies and resources. However, it still has the same family feel that it did in the 1950's. That is because while the company is global, considerable efforts are put towards maintaining and strengthening its local presence.
Social Commitments

With initiatives in far flung places like Akouyo, Togo, and even close to one of the manufacturing sites, like in Garden Grove, CA. the teams are heavily invested in their communities. Whether it is gathering Toys for Tots over the holiday season, running in a cancer charity marathon, or getting involved in a local college's career fair, the opportunities for helping the world at large are significant. Time and resources are given freely to employees so that they can get involved and make a difference to their local neighborhoods.
Of course, this is nothing new for either Omniseal Solutions, or for the parent company, Saint-Gobain. The company purpose is after all: "Making the world a better home." How can this be achieved without working in the local community, pledging support and committing to making the area and local community a better place?

Sourced Locally
Obviously, Omniseal Solutions has the capabilities to source materials from anywhere in the world. However, where possible, the raw ingredients for our solutions are sourced as locally as possible. This is a source of pride and a strategic advantage. Not only is the company helping to support the local economy, but also keeping operations costs low. This of course is passed on to the customer, ensuring everyone wins!

Other benefits of sourcing locally include reduced freight charges(with corresponding reduced CO2 emissions), more reliable business continuity in cases such as the recent covid-19 outbreak, more flexibility & control and of course, it enables the company to deliver products to the customer faster. This is vital when prototyping!
We also want to provide our customers with the best solution possible, so when local manufacturing isn't possible, we turn to our sister sites for assistance. For example, in Bangalore, India, the team produces Rulon® 123 stamped polymer parts for use in gasoline metering pumps. This is a huge advantage for the site, allowing them to supply the energy markets locally. However, what if the customer needed a new solution? Something that couldn't be made in Bangalore? That is where the design engineering and sister manufacturing sites give a hand. Whether it is a conference call to help brainstorm ideas for a new solution, or actually manufacturing the solution somewhere else and shipping it to the customer directly, the teams are set up in small customer focused teams to facilitate agile thinking and cross-site solutions.
