H310® & H320® Materials

These proprietary composite materials are sheet molding compounds (SMC) suited for aviation critical systems such as engine, flight control, landing gear, wheel and braking. Applications vary from bushings, guide rings, wear liners, seals, clamps, and thermal isolators. They offer very high strength at continuous operating temperature up to 315°C (600°F). The H310® composite is an aerospace-grade blend of high temperature thermoset polyimide-based resin with one-inch chopped carbon fiber reinforcement. It is best for lower to moderate speeds and high loads.

 

The H320® composite is a blend of high temperature thermoset polyimide-based resin and one-inch chopped glass fiber reinforcement. It is best suited for high temperature heat shields and high temperature electrical insulation applications.

 

As light weight and high strength solutions, these advanced composites can drive down costs and offer as much as 40% reduction over metal and other alternatives in some cases.
