Wearcomp® Materials

These proprietary composite materials are sheet molding compounds (SMC). They offer high shear strength, impact resistance and durability at continuous operating temperature up to 315°C (600°F). Wearcomp® materials are used as a replacement for metal in demanding industrial environments, requiring outstanding wear and friction control resistance, enabling cleaner operations and offering reduced maintenance and downtime.

Wearcomp® composite is a blend of high temperature thermoset polyimide-based resin and 1" chopped carbon fiber. This unique combination provides a low coefficient of friction, outstanding mechanical strength, and wear resistance.

 

Wearcomp® 200 is a blend of high temperature thermoset polyimide-based resin and 1" chopped carbon fiber. We add a graphite compound to enhance the existing low coefficient of friction. This polymer solution offers outstanding mechanical strength, and wear resistance.
