Applications
Aviation: Spring-Energized Seals Applications
Omniseal® spring-energized seals are used in many core systems of aviation, specifically for aircraft where they handle high temperature and leakage in the jet engines, APUs and control instrumentation. Similar to space launch vehicles, there are hundreds of seals in an airplane. This sealing solution is also used in helicopters along with rotary lip seals.
