PFAS-Free* Solutions & Materials

With growing regulation over Per- and PolyFluoroAlkyl substances, a transition towards alternative materials has become critical to supply chain management throughout the industry. Omniseal Solutions partners with our customers and suppliers to find and develop advanced materials & components for critical applications, anticipating key changes in our markets.

Due to the excellent combination of physio-chemical properties, fluoropolymers, a sub-family of PFAS, have been used by Omniseal Solutions for decades on numerous challenging applications in various Industries. Furthermore, other materials have already been developed and used over many years across different markets. Recent changes in the regulatory environment accelerated our efforts towards the research and development of alternative materials for our customers’ applications.

Our teams of engineers are very well known as leaders in sealing technology through material expertise and a precision design creativity, coupled with a wide range of application testing and material simulation capabilities. We develop and continue to invest in diverse production capabilities that provide us with a versatile manufacturing infrastructure, supplying high-performance metal and polymer parts.

You can find more of those alternatives in the page below or contact us to know more and explore the alternatives with our engineers.

Try our new PFAS-Free* Assessment Tool to quickly determine if there are sealing options compatible for your applications.

* PFAS-Free here means we do not intentionally add PFAS material in the product, but does not exclude the possibility of traces, as these materials are common in the environment.

Metal Comma Seals

Advanced Axial Shaft and Bore Seals

Comma axial seals used for shaft sealing and bore sealing are a further development of the axial C-Seal. The elastic recovery in radial direction is still limited, yet the leakage over the outer diameter in the case of a Comma seal is well controlled by the seating load generated by the compression of the ring part of the design.

Metal C-Seals

Face sealing for internal and external pressures

Metal face C-Seals help overcome both heat and pressure pulsating sealing challenges. The key to the seal's superior performance is the high springback characteristic due to the C-shaped construction. These highly resilient seals can be used for internal, external, and axial pressures under extreme conditions that preclude the use of gaskets made of organic materials.
