PFAS-Free* Polymers
High Performance Proprietary Material Formulations
Our sealing and material experts devote tremendous time and resources to engineering and testing PFAS-Free* solutions that do not compromise on functionality, reliability and precision, i.e., high stability at low temperatures, broad chemical compatibility or wear protection.
* PFAS free here means we do not intentionally add PFAS material in the product, but does not exclude the possibility of traces, as these materials are common in the environment.

Fluoroloy® Fluoropolymers
High performance proprietary material formulations
Consisting of a family of proprietary materials that are composed primarily of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) based resins, the different grades of this high-performance polymer material have been specifically formulated to meet the needs of challenging applications and the different applicable certifications. For example, some grades were designed to be USDA, USP, and/or FDA compliant and therefore well suited for life science equipment such as harmonic scalpels or chemical analyzers.

Rulon® Fluoropolymers
W2 PTFE
Rulon® W2 is a black PTFE-based Carbon Filled polymer material solution developed for use in fresh-water applications. It exhibits low friction and excellent wear characteristics (one of the lowest wear rates in fresh water) as well as good thermal dissipation, preventing shaft distress. Its properties are enhanced when wet and the material does not absorb water.

Meldin® HT Thermoplastics
4000 PAI Based
Meldin® 4000 is Omniseal Solutions material line of PAI (polyamide-imide) based compounds. The different numbers within the series refer to the unique composition and different properties of the various compounds.
Meldin® 4000 grades are manufactured by injection molding that can meet tight tolerances. There is also a limited number of shapes available for prototyping activities.

Meldin® HT Thermoplastics
5000 PEEK Based
Components made with the Meldin® 5000 series (PAEK and PEEK-based material formulations) have several advantages over metals, machined ceramics, and other costly machined materials, with the ease and convenience of thermoplastics. Having a high tensile, compressive and flexural strength, Meldin® 5000 materials are injection molded into tight-tolerance finished components in single or complex designs that can exhibit metal-like finishes without expensive machining or secondary operations, and with the advantages of being lighter and corrosion-resistant.

Meldin® HT Thermoplastics
1000 PPS Based
Meldin® 1000 series is an Omniseal Solutions material line based on polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) thermoplastic compounds. Components made from the Meldin® series materials exhibit excellent chemical and thermal resistance, have good dimensional stability, and maintain structural integrity, proving design versatility. This stability stems naturally from the low coefficients of thermal expansion of the series. The dimensional stability is particularly apparent in components functioning in close-clearance applications.

Rulon® Fluoropolymers
LR PTFE
Rulon® LR is compatible with most hardened steel substrates. Mild steel is acceptable; harder running surfaces are better.
Rulon® LR has a practically universal chemical inertness. Of the chemicals encountered in commercial practice, only molten sodium and fluorine, at elevated temperatures and pressures, show any sign of attack.

Rulon® Fluoropolymers
J PTFE
Rulon® J is an all-polymeric reinforced, dull gold colored PTFE compound that operates exceptionally well against soft mating surfaces such as 316 stainless steel, aluminum, mild steel, brass and other plastics. The unique “shaft friendly” material is also low in friction and wear, and self-lubricating.

Rulon® Fluoropolymers
641 PTFE
Rulon® 641 is manufactured from FDA and USDA compliant materials possessing excellent loads and wear characteristics while meeting the requirements for USP Class VI.
It offers excellent, continuous non-lubricated service up to 10,000 PV – higher for intermittent service. While the load capacity of Rulon® 641 is generally limited to 1,000 psi (6.9 MPa) at room temperature, deformation is a function of wall thickness, temperature and load.

Rulon® Fluoropolymers
142 / 142S / 242 PTFE
Rulon® 142 / 142S / 242 materials are specially formulated dull blue-green linear bearing formulations that exhibits low wear, high thermal dissipation, and good dimensional stability characteristics. They are metal filled polymer material solutions used for dimensional stability, vibration and wear resistance.
Among their many benefits are the virtual elimination of stick-slip, vibration dampening, self-lubrication, uniform friction, long life, ease of application and design diversity. They are low deformation materials suitable for linear bearings and slides.

Rulon® Fluoropolymers
AR PTFE
Rulon® AR is a light maroon colored material best known as the current version of the first Rulon® introduced, namely Rulon A. While often compared to another in the series, Rulon® LR, it is somewhat more flexible than its counterpart, and is therefore suitable for seals and bonded coating of slide surfaces, especially when those applications require higher physical properties than Rulon® LR can provide. It is also practically chemically inert, and provides long life and reliability in continuous non-lubricated service.
